Regatta 2009
Thursday February 19, 2009 : Skippers briefing and
official openings party at the Grenada Yacht Club
Friday February 20, 2009 : First Regatta out of St.George's
Saturday February 21, 2009 : Second Regatta day St.George's to St.Davids
Sunday February 22, 2009 : Third regatta day St.Davids - St.George's and
Price Giving at Port Louis Camper and Nicholson Marinas
The
Regatta will be held from February 21st through February 24th
2008.
The
official Skippers briefing and openings ceremony with cocktail party
will take place at the Grenada Yacht Club on Thursday October 18th, 2007
starting at 6.00 pm.
On
Friday morning, the start will be out of St. George’s.
The yachts will sail
along the Grand Anse Beach coastline and finish back in St. George’s.
A
lunch buffet / fingerfood and drinks will be offered
as from 1.00 pm to all captains, crew, press and VIP’s
compliments of Port Louis Grenada / Nicholson Marinas.
A buffet for all skippers and crew as well as the general
public will be available at night in the Victory Bar,
followed by a party with a live band.
Tickets for the evening buffet can be purchased in advance
or the same evening.
Saturday will see the start again out of St. George’s.
The yachts will
sail along the southern coast to St. David's, where they will finish in
St. David’s Harbour.
A buffet / fingerfood lunch will be offered to
all participants,
press and
invited VIP guests at the Water’s Edge Restaurant, compliments of Bel Air
Plantation as from 1.00 pm.
A party with barbecue for all captains and crew as
well as for the general public will start around 7.00 pm.
A live band is also scheduled.
Tickets for the evening barbecue can be purchased in advance or the same
evening.
On
Sunday the yachts will leave St. David’s Harbour and sail back to St.
George’s.
The yachts will sail into the harbour after the finish and return
to the docks at Port Louis.
An award giving ceremony and cocktail party will be held in the late
afternoon around 5.00 pm followed by the final closing party
at Port Louis Marina.
